Refund policy
La Maison Prestige – Refunds & Returns Policy
1. Made-to-Order Items
All handles are carefully crafted and made to order, which allows us to ensure the highest quality and reduce waste as part of our sustainability commitment. Because these items are produced after the order is placed, we do not offer refunds for change of mind for such items.
2. Change of Mind
If you simply change your mind (e.g. you don’t want the item, it no longer fits, or you found something else), we are sorry, but we do not provide refunds or exchanges for change of mind for made-to-order items.
3. Faults, Misdescriptions, and Consumer Guarantees
Our “no refunds for change of mind” policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If your item is faulty, unsafe, damaged in transit, not as described, or does not do what we promised, you are entitled to remedies including a repair, replacement, or refund (or partial refund) as required by law.
4. How to Claim a Remedy
If you believe your item has a fault, or doesn’t meet its description, please contact us within 14 days via our contact page with your order number, proof of purchase, photographs of the issue, and a description of the problem. We will review and respond, and arrange for repair, replacement, or refund as required by ACL.
5. Shipping Costs & Returns
When returning faulty or misdescribed goods, we will cover return shipping. If the return is due to change of mind, the customer is responsible for return shipping, only where returns are accepted under policy.
6. Policy Visibility
This policy is clearly displayed on our website, in product descriptions for custom items, and in the checkout process. By placing an order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and accepted this policy.
